ATHARINE 'CATHERINE'3 MORTLOCK (THOMAS2, WILLIAM1) was born 18 August 1867 in Colington, reg. Cooma, NSW, and died 27 July 1953 in Drummoyne, reg. Hurstville, NSW.  She married JOHN 'FREDERICK' PEGRAM 1884 in St Paul’s C of E, Cooma, NSW, son of JOHN PEGRAM and ELIZA NORTHROP.  He was born 25 November 1859 in Billilingra, Bredbo, reg. Cooma,  NSW, and died 11 July 1933 in Drummoyne, NSW.

 

B/C -  8549/1867 - Catharine Mortlock parents Thomas and Catharine, Cooma.

M/C - 5784/1884 - Catherine Mortlock and John Pegram, Cooma, NSW.

D/C - 20426/1953 - Catherine Pegram parents Thomas and Catherine, Hurstville, NSW.

B/C -  6814/1859 - John Pegram parents John and Eliza, Cooma, NSW.

D/C - 10735/1933 - John Pegram parents John and Eliza, Drummoyne, NSW.

 

Catharine’s husband John Pegram was known as Frederick John Pegram to the West Wallsend Mortlock’s, many photos have written on the back Cath and Fred’s children, Doris, Richard’s daughter boarded with them whilst she attended Teachers College then at Sydney University at Lewisham. NOTED - While in Sydney she stayed with Grandfather Mortlock's sister's family Frederick John and Catharine Pegram nee Mortlock. Doris Mortlock the mother of Jan had just finished school when this photo of her Dad and his sister Cath Pegram was taken. Dad had taken Doris down to stay with Cath and her husband Frederick John whilst Doris my Mum furthered her studies at Teachers College, then at Sydney University, Lewisham.

 

Doris loved staying with her Aunty Cath and Uncle Fred she was made part of their extended family and loved the years she spent with them
