First Generation


1. Daniel Driscoll, son of John Driscoll and Julia, was born on February 8, 1789 in Skibarreen, County Cork, Ireland, died on July 14, 1849 in Goulburn, NSW1 at age 60, and was buried in Goulburn, NSW.

Notes: Daniel was a political convict who arrived at Port Jackson aboard the "Canada", on the 5th August 1815. He had been tried in Ireland , convicted and sentenced to 7 years transportation.

Daniel married Judith Burke on November 27, 1823 in St Marys, NSW.2 Judith was born in 1789 in Clonmel Bay, County Limerick, Ireland and died on December 2, 1838 at age 49.

Notes: Judith Bourke was a convict who arrived at Port Jackson aboard the "Lord Wellington", on the 20th January 1820. The ship had sailed from Cork in Ireland. Judith was tried at Tipperary in Ireland in the summer of 1818.

Notes: In about 1839-40 James moved to the Monaro District to manage Momba Station. George, aged 14 years, joined James there and they continued to work together in various ventures over the next 20 years.
James Day (snr), who with George Day his brother were quite significant pastoralists, active community citizens, and well regarded around Albury and districts. James Day was also a local councillor and remained a farmer.

The cause of his death was of Rectum (Colostomy) Inoperable, Haemorrhage, Asthenia.

Notes: From a family of ten, John and two brothers were in partnership at 'Coppabella'. Following Mary's death he married Annie Jane Brewer (nee Blanche) in 1908 at Rozelle in Sydney. After he died, she married Ernest Bridge at Ultimo in Sydney. Annie was the daughter of a farmer, John Brewer and Jane Clarke. She was a widow at the time of her death on 29 June 1956 residing at RMB 841 Osborne Rd Blacktown and had no issue from her three marriages.Her niece Louisa E Lake was at 130 Mullens St Rozelle.
