Patrick married Catherine Mary Harnett, daughter of Laurence Harnett and Ellen Maria Harnett, on January 4, 1865 in Cooma, NSW.² Catherine was born in 1832 in County Limerick, Ireland, died on December 5, 1878 in Rose Valley near Cooma, NSW³ at age 46, and was buried in Rose Valley near Cooma, NSW Grave 3. Another name for Catherine was Kate.

   2 M    i. Patrick Harnett Clifford was born on September 4, 1866 in Cooma, NSW⁴ and died on April 25, 1933 in Sydney, NSW⁵ at age 66.
