The O'Brien family picnicking somewhere in the Berridale area, Mr E J O'Brien is seen standing and featuring a beard, his wife sitting next to him with other members of their family
Further information supplied by Maree Oddy -
The two younger males are sons of Edmond and Ellen, far left Cecil Rupert O'Brien and William  Austin O'Brien (uncle Aussie) in front row far left Mary Clare O'Brien (Marning) wife of Cecil Rupert. I am unable to confirm which of the O'Brien girls is pictured with the young boy but believe the picture was possibly taken between 1918 and 1921.

This is the wedding of one of the three daughters of E.J .O'Brien and his wife Ellen taken at the hotel reception in Cooma following on from their wedding at St Patrick's CR Church Cooma before the bride departed the Monaro district for the  grooms properly (Greenvale station) Narromine NSW.

My Great Grandfather Edmond O'Brien and his wife Ellen lived in the township of Berridale from the mid nineteen century they  owned the Berridale Inn and a local House named 'Ivyvale' which is still standing in very poor condition in what is now O'Brien St, Berridale. One of their three daughters my grandmother was given the Berridale Inn on the occasion of her marriage to my grandfather a Mr Vincent Brogan from Michelago my mother was born in the Berridale Inn along with her four sisters and one brother, they left Berridale in 1925 and purchased the Lake Bathurst Hotel at Tarago. Edmond and Ellen stayed in Berridale until they passed away in the 1930s they are both buried in the Catholic section of the local Berridale cemetery. Edmond O'Brien was borne in Tipperary Ireland and his wife Ellen of pioneering Irish parents from Canberry (Canberra ) in the early nineteenth century.  I'm surprised to note their is no reference or information about the O'Brien family as I know from stories told by my now deceased mother that they were very much apart of the local history , Mr O'Brien regularly travelled by horse to Sydney for business and I believe he purchased the first car in the township. I won't continue with these stories as this is basically a request to ask if you have any information that may be of interest to me . Thanking you for your time
