Angus Dougal McDonald, son of Duncan McDonald and Margaret McPherson, was born on May 1, 1816 in Moidart, Invernesshire, Scotland, died on January 9, 1877 in Mohawk Station, Maclaughlin River near Nimmitabel, NSW1 at age 60, and was buried on January 11, 1877 in Nimmitabel, NSW. The cause of his death was Dysentry.
Notes: Angus arrived with his parents Duncan McDonald and Margaret McPherson and other members of his family aboard the "British King" which arrived in Port Jackson on the 28th February 1839.
Angus and Catherine had 13 children, 7 males and 6 females. At the time of Angus' death only 1 male had died.
Donald McDonald and Sarah McDonald were witnesses to Angus and Catherine's marriage. Father Michael Kavanagh performed the ceremony at the Catholic Church, Delegate NSW.
Patrick Thornton and Angus Rankin were witnesses at Angus' burial. He left an estate of about 2,000 pounds to his wife Catherine.
