“We have received another sheet of Dr Lhotsky’s ‘Australian Alps’ ; it contains
a description of the part of the country he traversed at and beyond the Menero
Plains; we have no Greek type and cannot correct his adjunct to Menero—which is
very lamentable; the following extract may be interesting to some of our [r]eaders:--

NB: I have abbreviated established to est. otherwise it is as printed, the
’----‘ is printed in the paper as a solid line & I assume the paper’s editor has
cut material. Spelling is as found. The print was small… hopefully I haven’t
introduced errors. Where I’m in doubt I’ve used [?] to indicate I’m uncertain or
to input a missing letter.
Extroploated from:
