1. Michael Kavanagh, son of Edward Kavanagh and Mary, died in 1898 in Bombala, NSW.¹

Michael married Mary Walsh, daughter of Owen Walsh and Elizabeth M. A. Byrnes, in 1870 in Bombala, NSW.² Mary was born in 1850 in Nimmitabel, NSW³ and died on September 10, 1945 in Orbost, VIC at age 95.

Children from this marriage were:

   M    i. Owen Kavanagh was born on January 9, 1871 in Bombala, NSW⁴ and died on March 8, 1951 in Orbost, VIC at age 80.

   2 F    ii. Elizabeth Kavanagh was born on January 7, 1873 in Bombala, NSW⁵ and died in 1960 in Glebe, NSW⁶ at age 87.

   3 F    iii. Mary Kavanagh was born on May 4, 1874 in Bombala, NSW.⁷

   M    iv. Edward Kavanagh was born on November 6, 1877 in Bombala, NSW.⁸

   M    v. Michael Kavanagh was born on June 5, 1880 in Bombala, NSW⁹ and died in 1951 in Brisbane, QLD at age 71.

Michael married Gladys Lena Harman, daughter of Thomas Richard Harman and Ellen Jenkins,. Gladys was born in January 1900 in Townsville, QLD and died in 1956 in Brisbane, QLD at age 56.

   4 M    vi. James Christopher Kavanagh was born on December 25, 1882 in Bombala, NSW¹⁰ and died on November 1, 1935 in Bega, NSW¹¹ at age 52.

   M    vii. Thomas Patrick Kavanagh was born in 1887 in Delegate, NSW, died on October 3, 1917 in Belguim at age 30, and was buried in The Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial Belgium.

Notes: Thomas was one of the origional members of the Snowy River Recruitment March that left Delegate for sign up to WW1. He did sign up with the Army under his Mothers maiden name of Walsh.

   M    viii. John Walter Kavanagh was born on February 25, 1887 in Delegate, NSW¹² and died in 1962 in Chatswood, NSW¹³ at age 75.

   F    ix. Catherine Kavanagh was born on September 25, 1893 in Bombala, NSW.¹⁴

2. Elizabeth Kavanagh (Michael¹) was born on January 7, 1873 in Bombala, NSW⁵ and died in 1960 in Glebe, NSW⁶ at age 87.

Elizabeth had a relationship with John Baird, son of Thomas Baird and Isabella Inglis,. This couple did not marry. John was born on November 15, 1873 in Bowden, Roxburgh, Scotland and died in 1931 in Sydney, NSW¹⁵ at age 58.

• He immigrated to Australia with family on the vessel "Samuel Plimsoll" in 1874.

3. Mary Kavanagh (Michael¹) was born on May 4, 1874 in Bombala, NSW.⁷

Mary married Benjamin Ebzery, son of Christopher Ebzery and Catherine D. Cussen, in 1905 in Bega, NSW.¹⁸ Benjamin was born in 1879 in Tumut, NSW¹⁹ and died in 1946 in Glen Innes, NSW²⁰ at age 67.

• He served in the military as a Private, number ?, 1st AIF from December 19, 1915 to March 25, 1916 in WW1. Discharged medically unfit.

4. James Christopher Kavanagh (Michael¹) was born on December 25, 1882 in Bombala, NSW¹⁰ and died on November 1, 1935 in Bega, NSW¹¹ at age 52.

James married Jemima Martha Ivill, daughter of Thomas Francis Ivill and Ellen Curran, in 1904 in Bombala, NSW.²⁴ Jemima was born on August 5, 1882 in Bombala, NSW²⁵ and died in 1962 in Sydney, NSW²⁶ at age 80.

Children from this marriage were:

   M    i. James Theodore Kavanagh was born in 1910 in Bombala, NSW²⁷ and died on October 9, 2000 in Mittagong, NSW at age 90.

James married Daphne Delphne Robinson in 1932 in Bega, NSW.²⁸

   M    ii. Keith Edward Kavanagh died in 1966 in Newtown, NSW.²⁹

Keith married Thora Boyd, daughter of Alexander Boyd and Edith Margaret Ledge, in 1936 in Bega, NSW.³⁰ Thora was born on January 15, 1919.

5. Olive Marie Kavanagh (Elizabeth Kavanagh², Michael¹) was born on April 6, 1900 in Woollahra, NSW¹⁶ and died on June 14, 1964 in Rozelle, NSW¹⁷ at age 64.

Olive married Edward Ireland in 1927 in Glebe, NSW.³¹

   M    i. Edward Raymond Ireland was born on May 4, 1930 in Glebe, NSW and died on July 15, 1992 in Sydney, NSW at age 62.

Edward married Florence Elizabeth Campbell in 1959 in Glebe, NSW.³²
