Death Notes: Cooma newspapers unavailable, but the Queanbeyan Age on 6 March 1883 gave it one sentence:
"An old man named Barker accidently fell into a waterhole near his residence at Biggam, near Cooma, and was drowned before assistance could be obtained."
Coroners Inquest recorded "accidently drowned".

A son, born 25 July 1873 was registered by Selina (Mother) on 10 Sept 1873 as Issac Phillips. (This is his only known appearance.) James Hugh (b 25 July 1873) was christened on 28 Sept 1873 and is listed in both the Cooma and Adaminaby Registers.
Have transcription Birth Certificate 'Isaac Phillips'. Details: Father James age 33, birthplace Thurlton Norwich, Mother Selina age 34 birthplace Gloucestershire.
Richard Williams, Selina's father had a brother Isaac in England, and I did note 'Phillips' used as a second christian name when researching Williams records in Gloucester in 2002 and 2006.
One can only assume there was a degree of domestic disharmony and disagreement about the naming of the child.

The death of Kevin Harold ('Connie') Constance occurred on Friday, December 28. He was 82. Late of Meringo Street, Bega, he was predeceased by his wife, Hazel, in 2003. He is survived by his family, Robyn and Colin Beveridge (Bega), Ray and Lynne Constance (Bega ), Peter and Cheryl Constance (Armidale), Brian and Trish Constance (Bega), Bob and Michell e Constance (Armidale), 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and by his sister, Elaine K owalski (ACT).
Mr. Constance's funeral was held by his graveside at the Bega Cemetery on Monday, December 31 .
