Hello Ian

My name is Kasey Trotter and I am emailing you on the behalf of my mother Lynette Trotter formerly known as Lynette Young. We discovered

your website that detailed information on my grandmother Ivy Rita Kelly descendent of Peter Ubrihien. We see that you don?t any information on her besides her name and children. She was born 5th of September 1913, Traralgon, Victoria and pasted away December 5th 1968.  Also the cemetery that Rosina and William Kelly are actually buried in is the Cheltenham Cemetery not the Old Cheltenham Cemetery and also Brian Kelly, Ivy?s eldest was born out of wedlock, Ivy did not marry his farther. Hope you find this information useful. WB. Kasey Trotter and Lynette Trotter.

Dear Ian ,

In the news letter I received Sally Easterbrook was enquiring about Mary Tozer who married George Ross who taught at Jingera school. The Grady family lived next to the Tozer family and George taught my Father Jack Grady and members other members of the Grady Family I was with my father one day when we called and saw Sally’s Grandparents when they lived at Appin. Mary has a step sister living at Jerangle. If you could pass on these details I be happy to talk to Sally. Thanking You Gary Grady

Hi Gary,

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply about registration entries - before 1856 were church registry entries. Have another weirdy attached. For what it’s worth, your comments and the Newsletter is a wonderful learning tool. Thank you, Judy.

Hi Judy,

A very simple explanation really.  When two marriages are listed like this example it simply means the couple had two ceremonies, usually in the residence location of both families and/or in different denominational churches.

Dear Ian,
I have tonight come across your excellent website.  I do not know to whom I should address this message, but if those related to Eliza Besnard wife of George Warne (1820-1896) are unaware of Eliza’s origins and arrival date in Australia I am able to help them.  I would be interested to know if her father, Nicholas Richard Besnard, ever took her into his family or whether he attended her marriage in Goulburn in 1848.  It seems not.  The people who brought Eliza to Australia, the Finns, seem to have remained in Sydney. Eliza was the niece of my ancestor, Thomas Pope Besnard.

Hi Ian,
In regards to the Birth of Bridget and the 1845/1859 double registration.. This usually occurs when the details on a certificate were changed by parents.
The original record/date is kept but a new record (with same reg numbers) is made for the change of information and date it is made. Were the parents married at the time of the birth?? The birth was obviously 1845 as they couldn't record it in 1845 if she was born 1859,,,also 1859 would make her 11yo at marriage. I would say on the original 1845 registration either she was listed with no father OR under her mothers maiden name,,,,then by 1859 the record was changed to include/amend those details (usually is the most common reason). Although I have seen it done when (for whatever reason) the birth cert was needed but unreadble and the parents had to re-fill in the details.

Ian, I am currently doing research into the family of Daniel and Mary Ann Connolly. I am in contact with Donna Gibbs. The family information on Daniel and Mary Ann  Connolly was of interest and I am wondering if you could put me in toutch with the person who submitted the information in the hope they may have further information. Feel free to pass on my email address to them. The baptisms, which I have, for the four children all give Mary Ann's surname as Tracey, one spelt Thracey, rather than Healy as shown on the death of Catherine. As someone keenly interested in the Monaro I find the Monaro Pioneers site not only helpful and informative but also very interesting as many of the families are familiar to me. Regards, Phyllis Dowling

Hi Phyllis,

There is no specific contributor of the Daniel Connelly information unfortunately.  Most of what we have has been supplied as part of other family contributions or research by myself.  This family is quite obviously incomplete with many gaps needing to be filled so perhaps you may be able to help us to rectify that situation?

Hi Ian.

The wife of William Quinn, I believe, was Margaret Power b.1845 Templemore, Co. Tipperary Ireland, dau. of Michael Power & Johanna Doolan.  Her DC records her father as Michael, reg. Dungog.  Not sure what happened to Margaret Power b.1845 Queanbeyan District, dau. of Thomas & Isabella Power.

Do you have a recorded source for the surname of her mum, as ECCLES ?

With respect to Margaret's brother(s) William, I'm having doubts as to the deaths given in 1837 & 1838 respectively.  The DC in 1837 was reg. in Bathurst District, and the DC in 1838 was reg. in Parramatta District.  I'm wondering if William b.1835 & 1837 are one and the same, with neither aforementioned DC's.  Brother Edward's BC was registered in 1837, but not as a twin to William (reg. in 1837).  Edward's BC could be a late registration I suppose.  More mysteries, but fun. Regards, Don Herbert

Hi Don,

Thanks, I don't know the source of the name Eccles, would have been supplied by one of the contributors.

I have been unable to find any reference to Richard Thurbons suicide, or the death of Clara Thurbon. I have marked articles he is mentioned in, and Jingera and the Clarke gang as well. I have started to compile a timeline to help me put the events in perspective, and I am wondering if you know of anyone who might be able to provide me with a Thurbon gedcom file, which would save me repeating work others have done already. Annie Burgess was the 2nd eldest of 13 children born to James Burgess & Elizabeth Ball arriving from England and settling in Kiandra from their the family moved to Tumbarumba and the surrounding area.

Annie married/relationship with four males and had 14 children of her own. Annie was a midwife who travelled between Tumbarumba and Lobbs Hole.

You are most welcome to pass my email address onto Linda. Regards Debbie

Hi Ian

Impressed your site. Have two small corrections. Under Robert (b1830) and Samuel (b1835) reference to them immigrating together incorrect. Sam (my great-grandfather) came two years after Robert. See attachment giving details.

Under children of Samuel (b1835) no xii Lydia was not a child of Sam but the wife of child no viii, Dugald. She was Lydia Louise Austin, daughter of William Austin and Barbara Ireland, and was a niece of the four Ireland siblings who had married four of Dugald's siblings.

My book "The Ireland Cousins - a Shared Heritage" published quite a few years ago includes a lot of info about Sam's descendants but there is only a little about Monaro. (A lot about Braidwood, Moruya and Ulladulla areas). However if your library would like a free copy please advise to whom I should address it.  Cheers Rod

Dear Ian, What an amazing amount of info you have somehow gathered. Out of the blue I was contacted by my long lost cousins (40 years since last conact). They found me through my Mother’s family the Thurbons from Cooma. So you list my parents Marion Alice Stockman and Anthony Fitzgerald Foster as marrying in 1942. Apparently so. In 1960 Simon Anthony James Foster was born and in 1962 Lisa Ellen Foster arrived. Simon never married nor had children. I married in 1991 – a wonderful Polish man by the name of Andrzej Gospodarczyk and our daughter Kyriakoula Gospodarczyk was born in 2001. Mabel Ethel Thurbon would be my daughter’s great Grand Mother. I have poured over your website since I discovered it and I think I am the only descendant to marry a European. I am still Lisa Ellen Foster as I have always loved my name and will not change it. My daughter is named after my lifelong best friend who is Greek and naturally she carries her Father’s surname. Tony died in 1985 and Marion died in 2007. Thank you so much for filling 2 whole days of an incredible journey into a whole world I was aware of but knew nothing about. And as I looked into the eyes of the photos of these pioneering men I felt a distant belonging and a deep gratitude for the powers of my ancestors. Thank you for opening this door. Best wishes Lisa Ellen Foster

Andrews, was not the daughter of Henry Andrews and Hannah Blissett, and was not born in 1911 in East Maitland, NSW. Ella was born in 1903 in Slough, England. Her birth was registered in Eton, Buckinghamshire, England. Her parents were Charles Andrews and Mary Stone. I have her birth certificate which confirms this. I have attached the gedcom file of my incomplete family tree. Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding these details. Thanks again for all of your wonderful work. Kindest regards, Carli McIntyre

Hi Carli,

Thanks for the kind words and for letting us know of that error. There was no file attached to your email,

Subject: The Fitzwilliam name

Sir

Interested in the “Fitzwilliam” part of John Tier’s name. My wife’s family are Fitzwilliam from about that date in the Dublin area, Christian name from that time is Mat(t)hew James Fitzwilliam. His son James married in Liverpool, England and then emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1859-60 (no details have been found). We believe that they are related in some way to the Fitzwilliam family in the USA. Question: Have you any knowledge of where the Fitzwilliam came from? Maurice A. Collier, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia

Hi Maurice,

Sorry, we no information as to where the "Fitzwilliam" name originates.

Subject: Info needed

Dear Ian,

Please could you help me find out about a WWI AIF man who was injured during the war and was hospitalised here in England. His name was Reginald Hoare/Hore/Hoar. I am searching for him on behalf of my 88yr old neighbour Bette. He was her father. Bette's mother Bess and Reginald never married, though he did ask Bess to go to Australia with him when he was being returned by the army - he did not just 'cut and run'. I see you have a Reginald Hoare on your site. Bette's father gave an address: A Sunny Bank, 27 Highbury Grove, Kew, Near Melbourne, Victoria. Her mother and father corresponded for several years. I don't know how, or why they lost touch. She has a couple of photos of him in uniform and also a studio photo in a very smart suit.On front of studio photo is: 'Monteath, Melbourne'. She thinks he was a solicitor before War broke out. On the back of the photos are: 'Cape Verde'. He is pictured with other soldiers and nurses and the photo is marked: 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth. 27th Aug 1919. He was also in Andover on 26th Aug 1917. If you could point me to somewhere I can get in touch to find this person, maybe to write to the address he gave to see if anyone remembers his family, or if you could give me the correct address to enquire from the Army I would be most grateful. Many thanks, sincerely, C A Harding, (Mrs).

Subject: Addition to geneology

Hi Ian

Not sure if  this helps at all but I can continue the Pearl Irene Sproule descendants - in doing so I am hoping that others may be able to give further info ,esp on her brothers Cedric and Reginald. Pearl married George Wylie and had 2 children, Russell George Wylie born 19.5.23 , died 8.10.09 and Kenneth Wylie. Russell Wylie ,my father, married Norma Betty Costello and had 2 children Brenton Russell Wylie (me) and Nigel Norman Wylie. Brenton Wylie

Hi Brenton,

Thanks for the information.

Regards, Ian

Hi Ian

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am blown away by the speed you move at! and your ability to search and verify the genealogy and update your webspage on the pioneers. I am still very interested in Cedric and Reginald Sproule. So far from AIF records I think I have established that Reginald enlisted and went overseas as a WWI soldier returning in 1918. Some time after that he was obviously admitted to Callan Park where he ultimately died. I am sure you have other things to think about but any info always appreciated!!!!!   thanks again, regards, Brenton

Subject: Monaro Pioneers -Robert Clugston

Hi Ian

Newtownhamilton (one word) is a small village in Armagh but also a parish. The three Clugstons who emigrated all had their births registered in the parish of Newtownhamilton, County Armagh, Ireland. Their five sisters, all registered there, apparently remained in Armagh. NSW birth places shown are usually where the births were registered and perhaps no point in changing, but you may be interested in the following about the children of first Robert. Samuel (7M) was born at Araluen; Sarah Jane (8F) was born 1861 (not 1862) at Bodalla; Robert (M) was born at Bingi Bingi (sometimes Bingie Bingie or Bingie) near Moruya; William James (9M) was also born at Bingi Bingi and not near Adaminaby. (At that time the families of both Robert and his brother Samuel were living at Bingi Bingi, when Sam's first four children were born between 1864 and 1869.) The births of eleven of Sam's twelve children were registered at Broulee with the last registered at Moruya (which supplanted Broulee as the registration centre). Oddly the only birth at Moruya was the first, Jane, while the family lived at Bingi Bingi. The next three births were at Bingi Bingi, the fifth at Cobargo and the next seven (including the last one registered at Moruya) at various farms forming part of the famous Bodalla Estate. The first Robert's daughter, Sarah Jane,  married William Charles Evans (or Charles William Evans) in 1883, not 1884. She married on the same day as her brother Thomas. Her registration at 1883/5685 followed that of Thomas 1883/5684. The children of the second marriage  of William James Clugston are not listed in birth order. My grandfather George Ireland, the husband of Ellen Clugston, did not have his death registered at Murrumburrah, despite what the NSW transcriptions may show. He died at Peter Street, Murwillumbah where at the time four of his married children were living. (A year earlier on 1935 I had visited them all there with my mother and siblings.)

Am unsure about some of the ages. Unfortunately some of my files on Armagh and the Clugstons generally, have gone missing, so I can longer prove that Sam was born in 1834 although I believe this to be the case. It seems possible that Sam may have understated his age from the time of his arrival in Australia, whether deliberately or unwittingly. His age shown at the birth of his children, and on his death certificate (when his age was stated at 78 years), all point to a birth in 1837 or 1838.

Jane, and Robert's wife Sarah, both seem to have overstated their ages on the passenger list of the David McIvor (sometimes McIver). Jane was said to be 18 on the ship but 19 four years later when she married. Sarah was said to be a year younger that Robert on theship, but three years younger when their children were born.  Ian, I hope you can make sense of the above. Best Wishes, Rod

Hi Rod,

Thank you.

Thomas Stanley Snowden was the son of Edward and Elizabeth. He was born in 1857 in Sydney and so cannot have married Elizabeth Tipping in 1853.

Thomas Edward Snowden (or Edward Thomas Snowden) was born in 1881, not 1884. [The footnote reference on MP is for his brother, Ernest] Thomas Edward/Edward Thomas is the one who married Isabella White: Edward Thomas Snowden, a 26-year-old farmer, and Isabella Jenit White, a 16-year-old housekeeper, were married at St Mary’s Church, Adaminaby on 11 July 1909.[NSW Marriage Certificate 1909/7285: Isabella Jenit WHITE & Edward Thomas SNOWDEN]

Subject: Correction to Pioneer descendants of Monaro

Dear Ian,

My husband is a descendant of many of the Monaro Pioneers.  I did not know until now I could make corrections to other peoples submissions to the site.  Please Ian remove the following information about Ann Love daughter of Joseph Love, it is totally incorrect.

John Love file

Notes: Annie White (doyen of Bega Hostesses of 19th Century)
(copied from a Century of Progress 1857-1957 by Barbara Adams [davida8-at-bigpond.com])
When the doyen of Bega Hostesses of the 19th century, Mrs. Annie White, allowed the leading identities of the day to assemble in her Victoria Inn to lay the foundation of the Bega Agricultural, Horticultural and Pastoral Association, her assistance was appreciated by all.
Lifting back the pages of Bega's history, one can see a group of men of the soil-pioneers, whose hands were their first implements to ensure survival in this still young country- who had been provided with the warmth of hospitality that glowed in the Victoria Inn through the personality of Mrs. White for their inaugural show society meeting.
No record of the day, would be complete without including some reference to Mrs. White. Who first arrived in Australia in 1842 but it was not Bega where she turned her footsteps, for Monaro first claimed her interest accompanying her husband to Pambula then spelt Panbula
In 1852 Mrs. Annie White's husband John James White, started the first hotel in Bega, in the Yarranung area. Lightening claimed Mr. White soon after, and he was buried in the Corridgeree Cemetery.
The loss of her spouse did not deter or discourage the self reliant Mrs. White, who set about completing the brick inn. This one above flood level in Auckland Street where the building stands to this day.
The change of site reveals that the early settlers were learning how to avoid the floods that swept down and enveloped the (something)…....flats
That Mrs. Annie White never turned away a poor wayfarer may account for her difficult financial position, which at one stage forced her to obtain a loan of one thousand pound at eight percent interest in those days that was a lot of money.

Anne married John James White on April 14, 1843 in Church Of England Canbury (Almost certainly Canberra), Lake George, Queanbeyan, NSW.267 John was born circa 1821 in London, England and died on October 5, 1852 in Eden, NSW at age 31. The cause of his death was killed by lightning.

A strange co- incidence, it seems there were two John Whites married to Anns in the Monaro area, both Ann's being inn keepers but my John & Ann were at Eden; then after John's death & her second marriage to Daniel Dunn, Ann & Daniel opened an Inn at Honeysuckle near Wyndham, known as Honeysuckle Inn.   The Ann & John incorrectly stated as mine on the Monaro pioneers is Anne White ,born Anne Stephenson Wiltshire, UK, August 15, 1807. Died August 1888. This  Anne White arrived in the colony in 1842 and first went to the Monaro then Pambula and later Bega, where in 1852, her husband opened the first public house in Bega. Two years after their arrival her husband was killed (1854.)

Ann Love's husband was just plain old John White, no middle name. Ann Love did marry John White 14.4.1843 at Jerrabomberra (Queanbeyan).  He was a convict & born about 1820/1 in London. He did die 5.10.1852 at Eden & is buried at Eden but his cause of death is unknown.  John White was a farm labourer. The children information is correct.

Further information to correct re Robert Higgins also Thomas Triggell

Robert's wife Ellen Triggell was not born in NSW 1828 as her parents Thomas & Henrietta did not arrive in Australia until 1834.  She was born in England, possibly near the boarder of Hampshire & Wiltshire about 1833.

I have a further correction or perhaps the following information can be offered as consideration to the Mary Jane Stimpson file, it does not really change the fact Mary Jane was a pioneer of Monaro but I would really like everyone to take on board that Stephen & Susan Stimpson in all probability were not her parents.

Many researchers believe Mary Jane Stimpson was the daughter of Stephen Stimpson & Susan Fowler.  Why? Is it because this is the only baptism to be found for a Mary Jane on the IGI at Dunstable. It is to be noted that the baptism is for Mary Janet in 1830.  All records in Australia lead researchers to a birth year for Mary Jane of 1818 or 1820. The parish register for Dunstable shows Susan & Stephen's children were baptised too frequently to simply put off Mary's christening for 10 years. Further there was a child baptised to them in in 1818 being Susan & 1820 being Caroline.  I have traced the Mary Jane/t born 1830 in each English census to 1881, she remains unmarried, occupation a straw bonnet maker, living Dunstable, born Dunstable 1830.

The information which is irrefutable is given by Mary Jane herself on her marriage to John Smith in 1863.  She states her parents are Brice Stimpson a gold beater & Ann Fowler.

An interesting record for marriage banns for 1805 at Dunstable has lead me to London - Stephen Stimpson was recorded as from the parish of St. Ann in the city of  Westminster London
The IGI  shows Stephen married Susan Fowler 2.3.1806 at St. Ann Soho Westminster London,  there were only marriage banns on the Dunstable film I looked at  for Mid September 1805, so perhaps a decision was made to marry in London instead.

There is no baptism recorded on the IGI for Stephen in the London area;  but a Stephen Stimpson married Jannett Murdock 20.1.1780 at St Ann Soho Westminster London. While there is no issue of Stephen to them on the IGI the 3 other issue recorded are William bapt 1780 St Ann Soho Westminster, Brice 14.8.1786 Ebenezer Independent Hammersmith London; Ann 1789 Ebenezer Independent Hammersmith London.
I believe there is definitely a connection to the London Stimpsons & the Dunstable Stimpsons as Stephen at Dunstable named a son Brice, possibly after his brother & another son William Murdock (Murdock being his mothers maiden name) who in turn named his son William Murdock.

Pallots Marriage Index for London shows Brice Stimpson married Anne Fowler at St Pancras 1815, I have seen the film of the original Pallots index. The IGI shows Anne's name as Tiester, which has been transcribed incorrectly.

To the Fowlers - Anne may have been a sister of Susan. There is a baptism at Dunstable for Anne Fowler 1795, sister Susan baptised 1787 & a brother Henry 1776 (this Henry had a son Henry baptised 1813 also at Dunstable & may be the one to have accompanied Mary Jane to Australia).

Brice Stimpson appears on the 1841 & 51 census living London, a gold beater but his wife's name varies to the 71 census as Mary, Ann, & Mary Ann with a birth year of 1795/6 born at Middlesex.  They have children William born 1831 & Agnes 1840  born London.

The questions unanswered are - did Ann Fowler die & Brice remarry another woman named Mary Ann having further children 10-12 years after Mary Jane's birth.  Why does Mary Jane state she was born in Dunstable (which is possible but there is no baptism there for her) Is it possible Anne died leaving Brice with a tiny baby whom he sent to Dunstable to her aunt & uncle to raise?   She did name a daughter Susan & had a close connection with the Fowlers to come to Australia with a Henry Fowler.

Thank You, Kerrie Beers

Hi Kerrie,

Thanks for the information, hopefully I have it all correct now.

I was delighted to come across the web pages on the Monaro Pioneers this evening. I was very interested as I am a descendant of James Power, his son, my grandfather was James Thomas Power born 6th November 1840  part of the second generation. James Thomas Power & his wife Evelyn are both buried at Adelong cemetery. James Thomas Power’s daughter was my mother, Edna Ruby Power who married Ernest Wells Sturt.

I notice that there is an incorrect birth date shown for my mother. Her birth date was 12th November 1917. Mum passed away 28th March 2004 in Picton and is buried in Tumut in the Anglican section of the Tumut Cemetery next to my Dad who died on 27th April 1982 in Tumut.

Mum’s brother James Leslie Power was born on 15th April 1914 at Darbalara NSW (near Tumut & Gundagai) and died on 21st January 1961. He married Rose Josephine West  on 26th June 1934. Rose passed away in 1997. Mum’s sister Eileen May Power was born also at Darbalara. Mum’s brother Mervyn Roy Power passed away 1st September 1986  in Tumut. His second marriage to Gladys was on 14th December 1965.

I hope that I have helped you with a little extra information on this part of the family, pioneers of the Monaro. Growing up Mum always spoke fondly of Adaminaby and was a regular visitor to the area. Dad was part of many droving trips to the mountains with stock to graze the snow leases. I remember Dad telling me a story about a young Brumby foal he caught on one trip and brought home and trained and used to win prizes jumping at the various local shows in his youth with his brumby.

Does your organisation have a newsletter that they publish as I would be interested to subscribe to one.  I have enjoyed immensely just reading this history and then to see my family’s names just pleased me no end.

Best wishes and kind regards, Carole Wheeler

Hi Carol,

Thank you for the information.  I do have a question though.  You state that James Leslie Power died January 21, 1961 but the NSW BDM Index has his death registered in 1967.  Do you have a copy of his death certificate to verify the death date of 1961?

Yes we do have a newsletter which is published by email on regular basis.  We will add your address to our distribution list.  Recent back copies of the newsletter are viewable on our website - there is a link on the home page.

Regards, Ian

Ian

Thankyou for answering my email. I am so pleased that you have added me to the mailing list for your newsletter. I am very interested in the Monaro area although I was born in Tumut we were and still are frequent visitors to the Monaro.

Typo, yes Uncle Les, (James Leslie) as he was known to us, did die on 21st Jan 1967. Sorry about that error on my part.

Mum recorded all the family births & deaths in her bible which I now have, it is a good reference.

Is your group interested in adding the next generation of our family to the database as I could supply you with information if you were interested?

Kind regards, Carole

Hi Carole,

Whilst our project name does state Monaro, our scope of interest now extends well beyond those traditional boundaries and does include many families from surrounding districts including the Tumut area. The database I am building which contains all the family details has become a population map of the southern part of NSW and hopefully is a helpful research tool for anyone looking for connections from that area. We would certainly be most grateful for any additional information you could provide.

Regards, Ian

Subject: Neuss family in the U.S.

Hi,

I don't know if my family and yours are at all related or have any connections but I thought I would send an email. I am 35 and my family had come to the United States from Germany many years ago. My grandfather passed away very young (42) and some family history was lost. I happened upon your website and was amazed at the similarities in family names. Maybe by chance, but many Henry, William, Joseph, Sarah, Gerard,Gus, ect. I have never met another family with the last name Neuss. I thought maybe you might have some insight to branches of family from Germany. Maybe it's nothing. Is Neuss a very popular name where you are? Again, I have never met anyone with the same name. Thanks for your time, Kim Neuss.

Hi Kimberly,

Hello Ian,

I just wanted to say thank you to all those that spent so much time putting together the Monaro Pioneers & for putting it on the internet.

It has been very helpful to me , I had been searching for my husbands family history for years and found the link I was looking for in the Monaro Register, John Bennett. Also I told a friend of my dicovery and she asked me to see if her family were there, they were, she is related to the Inskips via Hannah Inskip & George Dibley.  Many Thanks, Sally

Hi Sally,

We are delighted you have found our humble efforts to be of some value, thank you for the kind words.

Regards, Ian

Hi Sally,

The Bennett family to which you refer is incomplete in our database and we have no information on Alfred at this time unfortunately.

Hi David,

Thanks so much for your email, as i was scrolling down thinking there may be some updated information on my relatives from Bombala -  Michael & Mary Kavanagh (nee Walsh) when  much to my surprise i came across John Lesleighter & Jacob Leslight, who happens to be related to my GG Grandmother -  Barbara Lechleiter  - daughter of George Adam  & Barbara Lechleiter, they arrived in NSW on the ship named '' Cesar Goddefroy'' from Feudenhein, Germany.  I would love to get in contact with the person who supplied this information to this website and was wondering if you had their email address ?

Kind Regards, Vicki

Hi Ian,

A query from Vicky regarding the updated John Lesleighter entry, would you have a contact for this Pioneer’s family ?

John Lesleighter  -  New file  -  http://www.monaropioneers.com/Lesleighter-John.htm

Thanks, David

Hi Vicki,

I am the culprit responsible for the information in our database on these two families, there is no specific contributor as such. I have been able to put these family trees together as part of my ongoing research with the MP database.  I do hope there are not too many errors or omissions.

Regards, Ian

Hello David

Launcelot Henry Beck (103) is my father.  He died at Kingswood on the 23rd July 1983, can you please change your records to say Kingswood SA, not NSW.

Also, my father married Viola Rennie Hera-Singh on the 27th March 1942 at Adelaide SA. I will come back to you shortly as soon as I have the full name of Aunty Connies husband.

Regards, Pauline Williams

Thanks for the update Pauline, we will make the necessary corrections.
