Notes: William and his parents and siblings left Werthein-on-main on the 6th November 1854 and boarded the ship "Caesar" on the 15th November 1854 and sailed for Australia. The family arrived at Twofold Bay on the 10th March 1855, a voyage of 130 days. They continued on to Sydney where they arrived on the 26th March 1855. They were hired by a Mr. Hebdeh, from the Monaro district, as shepherds and then returned to Twofold Bay by steamer from where they proceeded to his property near Bombala.
