1. James Gildea, son of James Gildea and Mary McDonald, was born in 1815 in County Donegal, Ireland, died on November 19, 1879 in "Mullenderree" Moruya, NSW¹ at age 64, and was buried in Moruya Cemetery, NSW Catholic section.

Notes: James and Mary Gildea settled in Moruya and were blacksmiths. Came to Australia as skilled migrants in 1837 and settled in Mullenderee Moruya in 1841. Their children settled in Cobargo & Moruya and some were also associated with the TS Mort family as sawyers supplying timber which was transported on the old Wagonga wooden railroad that ran from inland north west of Narooma to the Wagonga Inlet.

James married Mary McNulty, daughter of Patrick McNulty and Unknown, in 1830 in Ireland. Mary was born in 1805 in Ireland, died on April 29, 1888 in Moruya, NSW² at age 83, and was buried in Moruya Cemetery, NSW Catholic section.
