A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St Philip's Church, Delegate on Wednesday 2nd instant, when Mr Claude L Douch, third son of Mr W Douch of Bombala, was united to Miss Gladys Mary Mustard, third eldest daughter of Mr William Mustard of Bendoc. The ceremony was performed by Rev. R Elliott of Bombala. As the bride entered the Church on the arm of her father, who gave her away, the choir sang "The Voice that breathed o'er Eden." She looked charming in a dress of cream pailette silk, tunic effect, and trimmed with shadow lace. She wore a wreath and coronet of orange blossoms and also a gold curb bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The bouquet she carried comprised white Japanese chrysanthemums and honeysuckle. Miss Mabel Mustard, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She was attractively attired in grey Japanese silk, kilted tunic, and trimmed with chantilly lace. She wore a mob cap, with a cluster of baby roses, and also a gold lace pin, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanteumums with pink streamers. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links. Mr Willie Mustard, the bride's brother, acted as best man. As the wedding party left the Church, Mr E Booth played the wedding march.

A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's parents at Bendoc, when over 100 guests were present. Cake and wine were partaken of and numerous toasts honoured. A dance was also held to celebrate the event.
